In 2022, we transformed the Library Lounge into a moody, speakeasy-inspired retreat designed for curling up with a book or enjoying an after-dinner cocktail. We began by staining the original, worn shelving in a dark chocolate brown, refreshing its look while framing the treetop views outside. A custom-designed bar by SH Interiors became the centerpiece, complete with a fridge and brass shelving unit, built with the help of Palmer Shelving to beautifully display vintage glassware and liquor bottles. To enhance the atmosphere, we layered in bold contemporary art, including a striking staircase painting by local artist Bruce Dean, and finished the space with a lush velvet sofa, custom Kravet-upholstered pieces, Paul Ferrante iron furniture and lamps, and a dramatic 1970s chandelier for a touch of pizazz.
